The Challenge
The existing website struggled with usability issues, making it difficult for visitors to navigate exhibitor profiles, event details, and ticket information. The design also lacked a premium feel, failing to fully showcase the craftsmanship and heritage of the fair. Additionally, the site needed a more flexible structure to accommodate annual content updates while maintaining a seamless user experience.
The Solution
I began with a UX audit to identify pain points, ensuring that the new design would address key usability issues. By restructuring the navigation and creating clearer content hierarchies, I improved how users discovered exhibitors and event information. The UI design introduced a refined aesthetic that better reflected the prestige of the fair, with an emphasis on high-quality imagery and typography. Throughout the process, I worked closely with developers to ensure that the design was both visually compelling and practical to implement.
The Result
The redesigned website provided a smoother, more intuitive user experience, making it easier for visitors to explore the event and its exhibitors. Post-launch feedback highlighted that 80% of users found it easier to navigate, and time on site increased by 30%, indicating stronger engagement. Exhibitors also reported improved visibility and ease of sharing their profiles with potential buyers.
